Founded in 1994, Ia Vai Ma Noa Bora Bora is a non-profit working to improve the quality of life for island residents and protect the natural environment. The association focuses on combating social inequality, promoting responsible economic practices, environmental preservation, and celebrating Polynesian culture. 

Their projects include coral garden restoration in the lagoon, environmental education in schools, and the collection of electronic waste across the island.
