Bora Bora
The LVM International Art Foundation Bora Bora was founded by Damien Dovio-Rinaldi and his wife Vai. The Foundation is based on the belief that true luxury is not only found in exceptional experiences, but also in the ability to give back, support others, and create a lasting positive impact.
Its mission is to support humanitarian causes, artistic development, cultural preservation, environmental protection, and community enrichment in Bora Bora. The Foundation aims to respond to local needs while creating meaningful and sustainable opportunities for people, communities, and future generations.
Since 2002, Damien and Vai have owned La Villa Mahana, a unique dining destination that has become a place where art, culture, creativity, and human connection come together. Over the years, they have supported local and international artists and encouraged cultural exchange.
Today, this long-standing commitment continues through the Foundation, which invites people to take part in a shared mission of generosity, responsibility, and positive action.

Environmental Initiatives
Protecting the natural beauty and resources of Bora Bora against encroaching development, advocating for sustainable and responsible progress that serves the community, not against it.

Land Protection & Community Rights
One of the Foundation's landmark achievements has been the protection of ancestral community land in Bora Bora. When developers threatened to acquire and destroy land rightfully belonging to the people, the Foundation intervened — purchasing and safeguarding $200,000 worth of land while the legal process ran its course, ensuring it was returned to the rightful community and their elders.

Cultural Preservation
Preserving the traditions, values, and spiritual heritage of the Maohi way of life in Bora Bora — ensuring that what has sustained the people of Bora Bora for centuries continues to thrive.

Handicapped Children
Providing care, resources, and support for children living with disabilities in Bora Bora, ensuring every child has access to dignity, opportunity, and joy

Ancestral Land Rehabilitation Program
A dedicated program focused on the restoration and rehabilitation of ancestral lands in Bora Bora, working alongside community elders to reclaim, restore, and steward the land for future generations.

Animal Welfare & Shelter Support
Contributing to the care and management of Bora Bora's stray animal population — supporting local shelters in their vital work of protecting, rehoming, and humanely managing animals in need.

Youth Rehabilitation Program
Supporting at-risk youth in Bora Bora through structured rehabilitation programs that reconnect them with their culture, community, and a positive path forward.

Arts Development & Support
Championing emerging and struggling artists across Bora Bora and greater Polynesia — providing financial support, platforms, and recognition so that Polynesian art and creativity can flourish.

Heiva Festival Support
A proud annual supporter of the Heiva Festival, held every July in Bora Bora — a celebration of the Maohi way of life through dance, music, sport, and culture. The Foundation supports this cornerstone cultural event every year, bringing the community together in joy and cultural pride.

Humanity Focus Group Studies
Organizing and funding focused group studies on humanitarian projects and human development in Bora Bora — including projects such as the Gun Project, created by Damien, which examines and addresses pressing social challenges facing the community.
